Joe Nobody and his family can be seen leaving a restaurant, on a calm cool October evening, judging by the fact the sign on the establishment reads Antonio's. One would guess the restaurant serves Italian cuisine. Joe and his wife Nicole walk side-by-side, as Joe carries their sleeping daughter on his back.
Nicole: "Pasta always makes her pass out."
Nobody: "And you said my plan was stupid."
Nicole: "I never said it was stupid. I was questioning why here. I mean I could have made pasta at home."
Nobody: "True, but we haven't come here since the pandemic, and I figured a nice family dinner was overdue. Besides, you know their bread is addictive as hell."
Nicole: "This is true. I swear I think the season that shit with methamphetamines."
Nobody chuckles as he puts his daughter in her booster seat. After which he gets in the car himself, and pulls out of the parking lot. As the car stops at a red light. Nicole looks over at Nobody.
Nicole: "So you ever figure out your plan."
Nobody: "I'm gonna stick in IPW for now. I mean sure I did feel like they were misusing me, but I'm tired of contract negotiations. I just want to work on my craft now."
Nicole: "You could have done that by winning that Battle Royale they had at the last PPV."
Nobody side-eyes his wife.
Nobody: "You know how I feel about those kinds of matches. I want to win cause of skill, not because of luck."
Nicole: "I understand that, but you could have at least tried."
Nobody: "True, but doesn't look like that would have made a difference. And besides, it's not like I left luck at the door by not trying. I mean my next match is a tag team affair with a partner I don't even know. So now have to hope and pray they're willing to put in the work."
Nicole: "Partners name?"
Nobody: "Xolotl Hun."
Nicole: "You know naming yourself after the Aztec's coward god, doesn't really put the fear of God in the hearts of your opponents does it."
Nobody looks over at Nicole.
Nobody: "How did you know that?"
Nicole: "I was a history major focusing on Meso-America back in university."
Nobody: "You know, I completely forgot about that."
Nicole: "Here's hoping Hun knows the legend as well. I mean sure while Xolotl has a coward, he was able to overcome his cowardice when the time was right and help save his brother from the underworld."
Nobody: "So what you're saying is I should hope and pray my partner actually makes themselves useful and help me out when the time comes, correct."
Nicole: "More or less."
Nobody: "Great, you know my feelings about relying on others. I mean most of the time, they're either useless as a wet paper bag, or they're only in it for themselves, using me as nothing more than a way to justify their means, so to speak."
Nicole: "I understand the sentiments. I see where you're coming from. Putting trust in others, that's something that's hard for you. Given your track record, but maybe if you stop looking at your partner and look at the two men across the ring from you."
Nobody looks at his wife.
Nobody: "Do you mean Nate Pierce and Spike Kane? You know I could sit in here and talk to you as we drive home and say everything under the sun about those two, but when you've been around as long as they have you probably heard it all. I take nothing from Nate, it was very clear from the get-go that he had a plan, the last time he faced each other. I put my heart and soul into that match, I put every ounce of anger and frustration into it, and just what I think I have won. He swoops in and takes victory away from me, and the truth is, in the same situation I would have done the same thing. See everyone like to make fun of the name I've chosen. I'm not lying when I say the number of jokes I've heard at my expense is numerous. But, I don't let things like that bother me. I've heard them all my life. But, let me ask you something. Would a nobody keep picking themselves back up? Would nobody keep trying? Perhaps, but anybody who knows me. Knows I'm able to pull something out of people that even they didn't think they were capable of. Sure, I call myself The Prince of Perfection, but perfection is nothing more than a fever dream. The pursuit is never-ending, I have no best because I can always do better than this. I can always improve myself, just like those in the ring with me can always improve themselves. I don't sit idly by. I'm not satisfied by doing the bare minimum. I never have been. I never will be. I may not be the best anymore. I may have lost a few steps at my age, but the person I am now is better than the person I was yesterday, and the person that I will be tomorrow will be better than the person I am today. the same goes for everyone. Clear my schedule, I have no time for you or your bullshit Xolotl, and this goes to both Nate and Spike. I'm not here to play anymore. I'm done with games. I used to say I had a unique ability among wrestlers. I had the ability to make bad wrestlers look good, good wrestlers look great, and great wrestlers look like Gods. It's about time I live up to those words Image exactly what I plan to do win or lose. I want everyone to know that I gave everything in that match, and it took everything to finish me. Spike Kane, Nate Pierce, all the respect in the world to you, but you're not besting me this time."
