Desiree Zaria Harrison grew up in Houston’s Third Ward. A hyperactive child, her parents decided somewhere around her fourth birthday to channel some of that energy into sports, which would be the choice that sealed their daughter’s fate. She proved to be a natural athlete, soaking up the fundamentals of many a sport like a sponge – she dabbled in basketball, softball, and flag football – but track and field are where her heart was. After setting Texas high school records in shotput, 110-meter hurdles, and high jump before graduating in 2012, she went on to run for the University of Texas at Austin, eventually graduating in 2016.
The gap between 2016 and 2018 was a normal couple of years. She competed in CrossFit, worked as a personal trainer as a side hustle, and worked in her desired field as an athletic trainer. In 2018, she was invited to a tryout camp for the Omega Wrestling Alliance and was signed to a contract in short order. Her 2018 - 2022 run in their developmental territory, Omega Wrestling Tomorrow, turned many heads in the wrestling world for Zaria. Fans and pundits alike marveled at her aggression (at the time), natural athleticism, and charisma. Along the way, Zaria looked up to and pulled inspiration from wrestlers such as Aria Jaxon, Stephanie Matsuda, Azumi Goto, Miss Manami, and Black Scorpio. Now, with her bristling temper still intact and with her will to win as strong as ever, Zaria is penning a new chapter in her life and career.
