Ethan Page
BASIC INFORMATION
WRESTLING NAME: Nate Pierce
REAL NAME: Nathan Jefferson Pierce
CURRENT NICKNAMES: The Whaler
BILLED HEIGHT: 6 ft 8 in.
BILLED WEIGHT: 283 lbs.
DATE OF BIRTH (AGE): September 9, 1986 (36)
HOMETOWN: Hartford, Connecticut
CHARACTER INFORMATION
BACKGROUND: Former US Marine and now part-time fisherman in Connecticut. Known for his sporadic wrestling spells despite several attempts at attempting full commitments to the cause. Despite the on-and-off spells, has built up a bit of a rep for himself.
GIMMICK: Big, lovable guy who is in it for the passion and love of the sport. A little bit of gold never hurt the spirit either.
ALIGNMENT: Face
PERSONALITY: A guy who almost anyone can get behind given his good-hearted nature and strong passion for the business. Nate is usually one to abide by any and all rulings set in stone, but given his recent affiliation with the likes of Chaos Theory from last season, some of those boundaries have been loosened in order to bite back against those attempting to cheat him out.
IN-RING INFORMATION
THEME MUSIC: "Rivals" by Riverline
ENTRANCE DESCRIPTION:
"Rivals" by Riverline hits the speaker system, the slow start of the song causing lights to slowly swirl around the stage area. The moment the record scratches hit with the guitar and drums, the lights stop and instead focus on the entirety of the stage. Nate Pierce walks his way out onto the stage, arms thrusting themselves up into the air as he stands at the top of the ramp with a wide smile on his face. He looks around at the crowd, arms returning to his sides while he gives a series of nods to the people in attendance. Rolling his shoulders, Nate begins his trek down to the ring, soon being joined by the chorus of the song.
Let it rain, let it rain,
Let it rain fire on these cowards, jolts of pain
I see you all go down in flames as you bow down, assholes
I'm running a train
Nate exchanges a series of high fives with those in the aisle, making a beeline for the steel steps once he reaches the end of the ramp. Hastily climbing up them, he ascends the outside of the turnbuckles, arms rising into the air once more to another loud set of cheers. He climbs over the ropes, dropping down into the ring. He slaps his chest a few times, hyping up both the crowd and himself before retreating to his corner.
APPEARANCES: In-ring/Entrance attire: Black tank top, black elbow pads, taped-up wrists and palms, baggy jeans, black boots
Backstage/Segment attire: An old Hartford Whalers jersey with the number 99 on the back with the name Pierce above it, baggy jeans, and black boots
MOTIVATIONS: Passion for the sport, also beats having to sit on a boat in the middle of the Atlantic for hours at a time.
TENDENCY TO CHEAT: Rarely (Really only does it if pushed hard enough or as payback)
FAVOURITE MATCH TYPES: Last Man Standing
LEAST FAVOURITE MATCH TYPES: Battle Royales (Ironic given he has won a big one in the past)
STRENGTHS:
— Raw power. Being a former Marine and still keeping in regular shape has given Nate a great deal of strength to use offensively and defensively.
- Size and weight. Can and will utilize it to give his moves some added "oomph" to dish out more punishment
- Endurance. Owing to his military background, Nate has proven time and time again that he can and will go the distance in the chance that it means obtaining victory.
WEAKNESSES:
— Speed. Given that Nate is one of the bigger guys, he lacks a good deal of speed compared to smaller folk and unless he's able to keep them grounded or pinned down for lengthy periods, then he's in for a rough time.
- Pain Tolerance. Perhaps also viewed as a strength for someone like him given his background, but it can also be viewed as a weakness given that attempts to push through obvious, painful injuries, even with adrenaline, could lead to rash decisions that could be costly.
